Did You Know...LenelS2 now delivers Level 0 Hardening - at no additional cost with PES OnGuard Installations & Upgrades?

System Hardening is the process of making software and hardware configuration changes to reduce system vulnerabilities. Hardening aims to reduce the attack surface, making it difficult for bad actors to gain a foothold.

OnGuard® Level 0 Hardening is now offered by LenelS2 Professional Engineering Services group (PES) at no additional cost with PES delivered OnGuard installations and upgrades, and includes a number of value added services. Level 0 Hardening specifically includes:

• Verifying Digital Signature in the MSI installation package for installing
• License Administration password and server-only access configuration
• Setting up of Windows/SQL Service Account for component services, including LS Application Service, LS Publication Server, LS Client Update Server and LS Event Context Provider
• Setting up SQL Server database roles, syncing of the login driver with the database, and setting up the OnGuard SA account password
• Removing default non-SA OnGuard users from the system
